Your guide to a safe and spectacular celebration
Fireworks are fun, but safety is paramount. We want you to enjoy the spectacle without any mishaps.
Always stand back at least 5 metres from ignited fireworks. Keep spectators behind you.
Never allow children to handle or ignite fireworks without adult supervision.
Always have a bucket of water nearby to extinguish spent fireworks and emergencies.
If a cracker fails to ignite, wait 15 minutes then douse with water. Never try to relight.
Use a long agarbatti (incense stick) to light fireworks. Never use your hands or a cigarette.
Always light fireworks pointing away from people, buildings, and dry vegetation.
Store fireworks in a cool, dry metal box away from heat sources, children and pets.
Keep emergency contacts handy: Fire โ 101 | Police โ 100 | Ambulance โ 108.
